Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Ballygunge was established in the year 1980, started its day from the cabins of Nishan Hut. It is a co-educational school managed by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The school is spread across an area of 20,024 square meters. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).It provides education from Balvatika 1 to Class 12 with PCM, PCB, commerce and Humanities stream for the Senior Secondary students.
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ballygunge holds various events for its students that include Sports day, Annual day, arts and crafts, scouts and guides, N.C.C., science exhibition, youth parliament and various workshops. It offers facilities, such as a Digital Library, Atal Tinkering Lab, E-Classrooms, Work Education, Digital Language Lab, Primary CMP room and other well-equipped labs for practical learning. It also provides health and medical checkups for the students’ well-being.
